Animated Feature Sheep and Wolves is Included in the Main Program of the Annecy Festival

Sheep and Wolves produced by CTB Film Company and Wizart Animation was included in the main program of the world’s most prestigious Annecy International Animated Film Festival and will compete to win the Best Feature Film award.

Alongside the Russian feature, the festival judges will consider nominees from Canada, New Zealand, France, USA, and South Korea. Over 2,600 applications from around the world were submitted altogether. This year, the Annecy Festival will take place from June 13 to June 18.

The Annecy International Animated Film Festival is the oldest and one of the most prestigious animated film festivals in the world. Its history goes back to 1956, when the a special category, International Days of Animation (Journées internationales du cinéma d’animation) was introduced at the Cannes Film Festival. In 1960, a decision was made to organize an independent fully fledged festival for animated films. In the same year, the International Animated Film Association (ASIFA) was founded.
