About the film

Here the nights are lit up by rave parties, the days put you to sleep with the sound of ocean waves, the sand looks like gold, and money is just paper—live and let live is the motto. If you get lucky, you might even meet God. “Here” is Goa, India, where people from all over the world come to find or to lose themselves.

Eva is the daughter of a wealthy Russian businessman, but she’s not here of her own volition. After a quarrel, her father lands his private jet on a random field, and off Eva goes down the ramp in the middle of the night. When her father cools down and returns to pick her up, Eva has already gone deep down into a labyrinth of human lives. A young man, Makar from Novosibirsk, is eager to find enlightenment—he only has one day of his vacation left to do it. Alexey and Kristina say goodbye to their family harmony. Little devils on motorbikes, Dimon and Lyona, try to test the world’s safety limits. Cosmos the Guru (but don’t call him that) distributes concoctions that shorten the path toward the other reality at a snap of the fingers. Different people, with different lives. All of them have only one thing in common—their homeland. The place that is so easy to hate when you’re too close to it.
