A Follow-Up on the Premiere Screening of the Animated Film Sheep and Wolves

April 20, 2016, Moscow. KARO Oktyabr Center held the premiere screening of the animated feature film Sheep and Wolves, a joint production of the creators of the top Russian franchises, CTB Film Company and Wizart Animation.

The cartoon was presented by director Maxim Volkov, producers Sergey Selyanov, Yuri Moskvin, and Vladimir Nikolaev, as well as the actors who lent their voice talents of the film’s protagonists, Elizaveta Boyarskaya, Alexander Petrov, and singer Katya IOWA, whose song “Be Yourself,” written for the film, opened the screening.

The film tells the story of a young and carefree wolf, Gray, who has no idea he will soon become an outcast in his own pack. Contesting the role of the new leader of the pack and seeking the hand (well, the paw) in marriage of the pack’s most beautiful she-wolf, Bianca, Gray continues to monkey around and play pranks on his fellows. Everything goes haywire when he decides to transform himself with a magic potion. It’s not that the potion doesn’t work, it does — Gray turns into a . . . ram! Fearing for his—now ram’s—life, Gray flees the wolf pack and settles in the nearby village of sheep.

Now Gray not only has to regain the trust of the pack and his beloved Bianca, but also his original form. But how do you do that when all you’ve got is three days, a pair of horns, and four hooves?

Among those who attended the premiere to watch the film and congratulate the creators were Yulia Peresild with children, Edgard Zapashny, Elena Kniazeva, producer Grigory Podzemelny, Anna Churin with her daughter Ksenia, Alisa Grebenshchekova with her son Aleksy, Ekaterina Vulichenko, and Vadim Kolganov.

Watch Sheep and Wolves in theaters starting April 28.
